The smoked garlic butter was the best bit and was a decent size. You shouldn't have a problem getting a seat here, as I said to Mzungu, I guess Gordon's tarnish has worn off, wasn't all that busy.

@Lizzie - I think the soul was provided with the fact that I was dining with Dan and Elly.

@GG - Thai food? Oh how times have changed :)

@GC - I think downstairs is very much pies and scotch eggs, where upstairs is very much more restauranty. I was quite surprised by the change in decor as we moved upstairs.tehbushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16593283607297429793noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-786917785571459431.post-83864043109696930262010-11-08T22:02:10.880+00:002010-11-08T22:02:10.880+00:00I have eaten downstairs at The Warrington and was ...I have eaten downstairs at The Warrington and was not that impressed - perhaps upstairs is better.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15550630880349913974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-786917785571459431.post-73299599766462143772010-11-08T16:20:32.425+00:002010-11-08T16:20:32.425+00:00It's a lovely building too with a beautifully ...It's a lovely building too with a beautifully ornate marble bar Used to work round the corner and that was our Friday lunchtime option (back when it was one of those old man pubs serving Thai food)

RichGrumbling Gourmethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06152127146670865726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-786917785571459431.post-73409339582297717312010-11-08T11:54:20.408+00:002010-11-08T11:54:20.408+00:00Food looks good, though at first glance that dinin...Food looks good, though at first glance that dining rooms looks pretty soulless.Hollow Legshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07152329184111658897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-786917785571459431.post-12628257380655920822010-11-08T07:32:32.253+00:002010-11-08T07:32:32.253+00:00I thought that the mushroom on toast would be a ta...I thought that the mushroom on toast would be a tad unwieldy. I mean, wouldn't the entire ensemble just tumble the moment you poke at it?

But the lamb chop does look substantial.
